I would like to send my best wishes and sincere condolences to Manita's many friends and family. I have very fond memories of Manita and Jack coming to our house every Sunday night to play cards with my mom and dad. Manita was a great friend to my mother (Lillian Braund) during her life in Paris. I remember that she and my mom went on vacation together one year, the only vacation that my mother ever took. From what my mom told me when she and Manita returned, they had a great time together. It was almost unheard of during that era for my mother to be gone from her family duties and I believe that Manita gave her the courage to go. Manita was always so much fun to be around and a truely remarkable woman. She enjoyed everything that she did and brought sunshine into every situation and conversation that she was involved in.
