Mary Matthias, in her 90th year, passed away peacefully August 14, 2010 at Kentwood Park nursing home in Picton, Ontario. Mary was a long time resident of Brant County where she lived on the family farm on Blue Lake Road. She is survived by her husband Charles, son Charlie of Parry Sound and daughter Carol Sordoni (Carl) of Belleville. In addition she is survived by 4 grandchildren, Andrea (Sean) Byrne of Ottawa, Carla (Allen) Wilson of Orlando, Florida, Sarah Sordoni of Waterdown, and Steven Sordoni of Toronto. She also has 3 great grandchildren, Brayden and Keira Byrne and Zachary Alexander Wilson in addition to many nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her parents Archibald and Helen MacDonald and 3 brothers, Jack, Allan (Edna Maddeford) and Angus MacDonald (Shirley Derouchie).
Friends may call at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris on Wednesday August 18, 2010 from 12-2 PM. Funeral Service to follow in the chapel at 2:00 PM. Interment Paris Cemetery.
