JONES - Mick
At Hamilton General Hospital on Monday, June 24, 2013; Leon (Mick) Iver Jones of Paris, in his 77th year; dearly loved husband of Carol (Slater); much loved father of Casey (Stasa) Jones of Vancouver and the late Susan (2006); forever loved Grandpa of Nico and Lula Sue; eldest son of the late Noel and Molly Jones; forever missed big brother of Carole Mitchener of Brantford, Pat (Cathy) Jones, and Barrie Jones, all of Paris and the late Sharon Gaudet (2009); and much loved uncle of many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Mick was an all around sports enthusiast starting with a lifelong love of anything baseball, an unwavering devotion to the Toronto Maple Leafs and playing for Gray’s in the Paris Industrial Softball League. He was the biggest booster of his home town of Paris and was a dedicated supporter of the Paris Legion, Branch #29, Paris. Friends will be received at the Wm. KIPP FUNERAL HOME, 184 Grand River Street North, Paris on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. where funeral service will be held on Friday, June 28 at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Victor Krueger-Kischak of St. James Anglican Church, Paris officiating.
