Torti, Mildred "Millie" (nee Adlam)
Peacefully, at John Noble Home, Brantford, on Thursday April 29, 2010, a lifelong resident of Brantford, in her 96th year. Millie was a long time member of Immanuel Baptist Church, serving as a Sunday School Teacher and on the Women's Guild. She was employed at Courtage and Westons Candy for several years. Beloved wife to the late Anthony "Tony" (1990); loved mom to Jim (Shirley) and Bob (Carol); cherished grandma to Dave, Ron (Linda), Dan (Wanda), Greg (Dee), and Tracey (Jason) and great grandma to Paula, Matthew, Mason, Jordyn and Anthony; dear sister to Doris Bishop (Victor) and Mary Brownell (the late Mel) and sister in law to June and Fern Adlam. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Robert and Mary Adlam, brothers, Bill (Laura), Robert and Tom, and Sisters, Elizabeth, Edith and Beatrice Adlam and Jean Atkinson (Al). Friends may call at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris, on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral Service to be held at Immanuel Baptist Church, 66 Port St. Brantford on Monday May 3, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery, Brantford.
