OSBORN – Miriam Olive (nee Cox)
After a courageous battle, peacefully at Brantford General Hospital on Wednesday September 9, 2009, of Paris and formerly of Brantford and St. Williams; in her 83rd year. Beloved wife and devoted friend of Donald (predeceased her on March 28, 2009), whom she met and married in England during WW ll in 1943. Loved mother of William & Helen of St. Catharines and Donald Jr. & Brenda of Paris; cherished grandmother of Donny lll (Natalie), Julie (friend Jason), Lee (Jill), Heather (Chris), Kelly (Steve), and Joe (Zuzana); dear Poppa of Zak, Dylan, Chelsea-Anne Grace, Evan, and Brooklyn. Dear sister in law of William (Anna), Mary and Ann (Louis). Youngest daughter of the late Owen George and Olive Eva Cox. Also predeceased by two sisters Helen (1979) and Cecely (1982) and four brothers, George (1977), Charles (1983), Peter (1986) and Edward ( 1995). Miriam will be sadly missed by a loving family and many friends. Before taking up residence in Paris, Miriam lived in St. Williams and Brantford for 24 years, where she was employed by the former Oliver Plumbing and Heating Co. and Tri-County Mechanical Limited, retiring in 1979. A fifty year (plus) member and Past District Deputy President of the former Balmoral Lodge, Paris and now Claremont Rebekah Lodge, Burford. And a member of the Red Hat Society. Friends will be received at the Wm. KIPP FUNERAL HOME, 184 Grand River Street North, Paris on Friday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. where funeral service will be held on Saturday September 12, at 1 p.m. with Rev. John MacPhail officiating. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery, Lynedoch.
