DeLaronde, Robert E. “Bob”
Peacefully, at home, on Wednesday April 4, 2012, a longtime resident of Paris, in his 83rd year.
Bob was a 40 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 29 Paris. Bob worked with the MTO for over 35 years serving as a 1st class Inspector until his retirement in 1987. Prior to the MTO he was employed at Penmans and also drove cab for Collins Taxi. In his retirement he enjoyed the cottage at Sauble Beach and latter years wintering in sunny Florida. When not travelling he enjoyed his weekly rounds of golf with the seniors league at Burford Golf Links. Beloved husband to the late Norma (nee Douglas -2009); loved dad to Doug (Brigitte) of Paris, and Deana (Marty Piovesan) of Calgary; cherished granddad to Robert (Carolyn), Stephanie, Nicholas, and Staci (Jon). Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by all his brothers and sisters.
Cremation has taken place. A family burial Paris Cemetery.
A gathering to celebrate Bob’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 29 Paris (70 William St. Paris) on Saturday May 5, 2012 from 1-3 PM.
