After a long and courageous battle with cancer, at home, on Friday October 19, 2007, in his 89th year.
Beloved husband to the late Etta (Jackson) (1997); loved step dad to Robert Jackson (Wendy) of Harley. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews and most especially by; his longtime caregivers and 'little family' June and Katie MacGregor, his niece Patsy Salisbury who looked after his personal affairs, his nephews, Shawn Kitchen, who refered to Ron as his ever dependable mentor buddy, and Brent Gibbons who looked after and cared for uncle Ron in his last few days. Ron was the last surviving member of his family. Predeceased by his parents, Tom and Mary (nee Smith); his sisters, May, Almeda, Kathleen, Dorothy, Geraldine, and Mary; and brothers, George, Thomas, Harry, William, John and Harold.
Friends may call at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris, on Tuesday, from 10-11 AM where funeral services will be held in the chapel at 11:00 AM with Father Michael Bennett officiating. Interment Sacred Heart RC Cemetery, Paris.
