DANCEY-FOSTER, Ruby Bernice
Passed away, peacefully at Park Lane Terrace in Paris, ON, on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 in her 97th year.
Ruby, daughter of Charles F. Alger and Ida O’Brien, was born in Fenelon Township, Victoria County ON, March 5, 1915. Ruby was a retired Bell Telephone employee and a Life Member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Beloved wife to the late Oliver Selby Black, Lloyd Dancey, and Francis Foster; loved mother of Gordon (Jennifer) Dancey of Belleville, ON, Ronald (Carolyn) Dancey of Glen Morris, ON, Terry Dancey of Newport Coast, California, and Lois Porisky of High Prairie, Alberta; cherished grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; dear sister of Marguerite Marks of Niagara Falls, N.Y. and sister-in-law Ivy Alger of Guelph, ON. She will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by grandsons Ronald Dancey Jr. and Keith Porisky and by 10 sisters and brothers.
Cremation has taken place. Ruby’s family will receive family and friends at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River Street North, Paris, ON. on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 from 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.
Interment will take place at a later date in the Wexford United Church Cemetery in Scarborough Ontario.
