Condolence: So sorry to hear of Walburga's passing..as already mentioned by two of my sisters (I am #3), she was a dear friend of our mother's during their time together at Telfer Place. Walburga even kept a copy of our mother's obituary notice on her walker so that she would always be reminded of her. Such a sweet lady she was. The joke between the two of them was that with Walburga's strong legs and our mother's strong head, they made one perfect person. Hope Mom is showing Walburga around in their new shared place.

I met Walburga at Telfer Place through my mother Yolande Vanneste. I was amazed by her energy and stamina and we were all amused by her difficulty in remembering exactly which of the six daughters I was so I became Daughter Number One. We had some very pleasant conversation during each of my visits and as I always cooked too much food for our dinners, at my mother's request I would take a plate over to Walburga when she was still in the independent apartments at Telfer. It was a very pleasant task because not only did she express her appreciation of my cooking, she would later slide one of her very special hand-made cards under my mother's door with a personal thank you note. Please accept my sincere condolences on the loss of a unique person who contributed much friendship to my mother and an always positive interaction with myself.
