Condolence: Gramps. You will always remain in our hearts and prayers. One year has passed but your wonderful smile is still perfectly etched in our memories! This world has lost a true Angel but you have touched so many of our hearts in ways that only we will know, cherish and hold dear forever. As you look down upon us, know that you are the one person whom I will always strive to live up to. The greatest Man I have ever known. A wonderful Husband, a loving Father, and a perfect Grandpa. Everyone misses you so much, but knowing that you are looking down, smiling and proud of all we have done gives us some comfort that I must be on the right path. Our prayers are with you.
We are lighting a candle in memory of you Gramps on this day. May this flame burn bright and may our memories live forever. We love you!

Your Loving Grandson Douglas

Condolence: Grandpa,
I look at your picture with a tear in my eye,
Wishing I never had to say goodbye.
The memories we have shared for years,
Help to dry the many tears.
We always had the strangest pets like chickens, bees and swimming cows.
We didn’t know how to swim or canoe, but you made sure we learned how.
You and Charlie taught me how to water ski,
And you always called me Sandra Lee Magee.
Then Doug would always add, “the monkey”.
Many times we would come to visit, camp and swim,
And then one day you took me in.
I have truly been blessed with many years with you and Grandma,
Having sleep overs, plucking chickens and painting the veranda.
As you look down from heaven above,
You see our hearts are filled with love.
Now & forever,
Your loving Granddaughter,
Sandy xoxo

Condolence: Dad was a War Veteran hero who served in many countries including Holland, where he met his lovely wife. He brought the city girl, Mia, to Canada and put her on the farm with no running water and an outhouse. They raised 4 kids by working day and night on the farm, gas station and Arlington hotel.
He loved walking on the beach in Florida and going garbage picking for garage sale items to make money to go on a cruise.
He loved working on the farm where he put a chainsaw through the manure spreader.
Then there’s the grandkids; he taught them all the necessities of life, how to swim and waterski behind the boat, hoping he could dunk them in the Grand River. They learned how to tend to the bee hives without getting stung. That didn’t always go so well.
Then came the great grandchildren, he enjoyed playing with them. They would bring the toy box down from the garage and play with the trucks, cars and dolls and watch them run around so busy. He loved them sitting on his knee and giving eskimo kisses.
I would like to thank Sarah and Sandy for all their hours of loving and nursing care given to their grandfather. You made his life so comfortable; above and beyond your duty. We will always be grateful.
Doug and Nicky lit a candle in the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France for Grandpa.
Alvin, Ken, Doug, Nicky, Eric and Tanya send all their love for they couldn’t be with you at this time.
You will be missed dearly by all of us.
Love your one and only daughter,
Karen Robinson xo

Condolence: Gramps, you were a great husband, father, grandfather, and most important ... a great person.
You taught me about work ethic, whether is was taking off the honey, cleaning the chicken coop, cutting grass (darn those were some big hills in Newport) or cutting wood in the winter.
I have so many fond memories of my youth spent with you and grandma. Fishing, camping, cycling, going for long walks looking for beer bottles. Letting me ride around on your fancy new lawn mower over and over from your place up around the old school and back again. Between that and going in circles in the motor boat for hours on end, I’m not sure how we grand kids didn’t put in into the poor house with all the gasoline you had to buy.
My friends have memories of you as well. They weren’t so fond of your tireless work effort, however. I can remember them driving up to the farm during the summer and if they saw your car, they would just go around the circle and back down on to the road and leave. When I would ask them why, they would say: “If we stayed, your grandfather would just put us to work”
There was also the time that you and grandma let me and my friends camp at your place after getting kicked out of a campground the night before because we were too loud. You took us water skiing and my big friend Tim was too heavy. Every time you gunned the boat, the, rope would snap.
You led a very interesting, amazing life, Gramps. If I can accomplish half the things you did, I will be a lucky man.
My only regret is that I could never talk you into joining me on the golf course. I know, a big waste of money. Oh well, I will never learn. Although, later in life, you actually aided in my golf habit by letting my use your Caddie whenever I needed to when I visited you and gram in Florida. See, you were just a big softy.
Love you, Gramps.
