Torti, James “Jim”
Peacefully, at Brantford General Hospital, on Monday January 24, 2011, a lifelong resident of Brantford, in his 71st year.
Jim retired from the Brantford Police Station, following many years of employment at Norton Sandpapers. He was a member of the Brantford Red Sox Dynasty of the 1960’s. He was a highly regarded hockey prospect playing for the Lakeshore Bruins at the age of 15. He returned to Brantford to play Intermediate Hockey with the Brantford Bears and the Old-timers
Beloved husband to Shirley (nee Habbershaw); loved dad to Dan (Wanda), and Greg (Dee); cherished grandpa to Paula, Mason, Jordyn and Anthony; dear brother Bob (Carol). Also survived by aunts, uncles, a niece, nephews and several cousins. Predeceased by his parents, Anthony (1990) and Mildred (nee Adlam) 2010)
Friends may call at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, 184 Grand River St. N. Paris, on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9PM. Funeral Service to be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 1:00 PM. Interment following cremation Mt. Hope Cemetery, Brantford.
