HANNA - Jean
Peacefully at home, after making it to the age of 100 years and 1 month, E. Jean Hanna (nee Price) longtime resident of Ayr. Jean (Nanny) will be greatly missed by her son Bob (his wife Jean 2012), 8 grandchildren and their spouses, 26 great grandchildren and 7 spouses, 16 great great grandchildren and 2 more great great grandchildren will arrive in May and July. Jean was predeceased by husband Les (2004), son Bill (2004), granddaughter Tiffany (2011), her parents and all her siblings. Jean lived in Ayr for 68 years in the home she built with her husband and sons. Being a part of the community meant a lot to Jean and Les. Jean taught for many years at Ayr Public School, Cainsville Public School and Russell Reid Public School in Brantford. Jean was a member of Christ Anglican Church where she was the organist and choir leader for many years. The family would like to thank Reka and Lisa from Premier Homecare for all they and their staff have done for Jean. You are all a very special part of our family. Thanks to Dr. Vlaar, the pharmacy in Ayr (Patrick and staff), neighbours, Seniors For Seniors, her church friends and card partners. All of you made Jean’s life brighter. She is finally at rest in her Savior’s arms.
Friends will be received at the Ayr Chapel, Wm. KIPP FUNERAL HOME, 183 Northumberland Street, Ayr on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Christ Anglican Church, 50 Manley Street, Ayr on Saturday, April 18 at 11:00 a.m. Donations in Jean’s memory may be made to Christ Anglican Church or Premier Homecare, Waterloo.
