Cochrane, Sarah Elizabeth (nee McWhirter) of Brantford, passed away peacefully, at the Brantford General Hospital, on Tuesday July 3, 2012, in her 87th year.

Beloved wife of John for 64 years: loved mother of Deborah Aitkin (Stuart) of Glen Morris, Ross Cochrane (Susan) of St George and Jane Stockdale (Jeff) of Princeton; cherished grandmother of Robert Aitkin (Kristin), Andrew Aitkin (Melanie), Graham Cochrane (Rebecca), Lisa Cochrane, Karen Cochrane, Sarah Jane Casburn (James) and Ryan Stockdale (Julie). Great grandmother of Hannah Casburn. Dear sister of Florence McKenzie of Brantford.

Predeceased by her parents William and Mary McWhirter, and her sister Evelyn McWhirter, all of Paris, and brother-in-law Harold McKenzie of Brantford.

Aunt Sarah will be sadly missed by nieces and nephews Carolyn Stratford, George Cochrane, Mary Ann Donovan, Ronald Cochrane, Douglas Cochrane, Dianne Woodward and their families. Sarah will also be missed by her inseparable companion, Katie, her precious poodle.

Honouring Sarah’s request, cremation has taken place and a private family service was held at the Wm. Kipp Funeral Home, Paris, with interment in the Ayr Cemetery.
