Condolences

Condolence From: Lynn Simpson
Condolence: My heart is sad with many fond memories of my cousin Clare. Always enjoyed being with Aunt Marg, Uncle Lloyd. Remembering out Christmas at 44 Elliot Street with an onstream of Family and yes, he was one of 28 first cousins on the list. He loved my mom, Aunty Eve, Uncle Oscar and the farm. The Chesney Family would come weekends to play in the dirt. He was very loved and will be missed by all. Love You Cousin.....

Condolence: My cousin Clare

One of my first memories of Clare is that he was that one of the "hunks" who were
my teenaged boy cousins.....much older than I

As my brother Cameron said he seemed to be around our home from time to time all
our lives and we enjoyed him {quiet though !!!}

He stayed at least one summer and never really seemed to get used to the boisterous
mealtime of the 6 or more at the Rididale table

The first time he sat and watched and almost missed having lunch!!!

He shared his mom's love of antiques and would often bring her to Galt to visit
mom[aunt Lenore ]and dad [uncle Oliver].

Over and over he expressed how grateful he was for their help and support in his life.
We kept in touch through the years and the moves my family made and really
reconnected online a number of years ago.

he loved to reminisce and tell me about his good times past like going to Woverton
to stay and fish in the summer with Grandpa & Grandma Chesney

His great love for Cecelia was always evident as was his delight to be a part of her
children's lives..............he was certainly a proud Grandpa and shared many
stories about them too.

He seemed to find peace and enjoyment in his involvement in the church with Cecelia.

He has called my mom or visited regularly since dad's passing.

He was a kind and gentle person and I will miss him

Condolence: Clare was a good friend and i am going to miss his phone calls and his e-mails . I will miss the nights that we went out for supper and talked about many things but his love for Cecelia and the grandkids were at the top of his list.

Condolence From: Robert Madill
Condolence: Dear Cecelia, I was very shocked and saddened to hear of Clare's passing. I have missed seeing you two walking past the house in the past few years, since you moved. I am leaving for Florida on Tuesday, so will be unable to attend the Memorial Service, but I will be thinking of you on Thursday at 10:00am. as I will be crossing the Georgia/Florida border at about that time. Clare was a good man and a good friend for many years. Bless you and I will get in touch when I return.
Sincerely, Bob Madill
