Dear Jean I have only now learned of Don's passing which occurred while I was in a cycle of hospital treatment; I have only recently resumed my normal activities. I had exchanged e-mails with Don earlier this year and was pleased to read a most entertaining story which he sent my way. I had hoped to visit Paris this summer with my original model aircraft, a copy of Don's camera plane, the design for which he generously shared with me along with providing my first r/c flight lessons. I am saddened to realize that that visit will not take place, but I wanted you to know the great esteem in which Don was held, not only in the r/c world, but in his professional life in the RCMP.
