Karen Robinson

Dad was a War Veteran hero who served in many countries including Holland, where he met his lovely wife. He brought the city girl, Mia, to Canada and put her on the farm with no running water and an outhouse. They raised 4 kids by working day and night on the farm, gas station and Arlington hotel. He loved walking on the beach in Florida and going garbage picking for garage sale items to make money to go on a cruise. He loved working on the farm where he put a chainsaw through the manure spreader. Then there’s the grandkids; he taught them all the necessities of life, how to swim and waterski behind the boat, hoping he could dunk them in the Grand River. They learned how to tend to the bee hives without getting stung. That didn’t always go so well. Then came the great grandchildren, he enjoyed playing with them. They would bring the toy box down from the garage and play with the trucks, cars and dolls and watch them run around so busy. He loved them sitting on his knee and giving eskimo kisses. I would like to thank Sarah and Sandy for all their hours of loving and nursing care given to their grandfather. You made his life so comfortable; above and beyond your duty. We will always be grateful. Doug and Nicky lit a candle in the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, France for Grandpa. Alvin, Ken, Doug, Nicky, Eric and Tanya send all their love for they couldn’t be with you at this time. You will be missed dearly by all of us. Love your one and only daughter, Karen Robinson xo (Karen Robinson & Don Baxter)
