Judith Murray (Ridsdale)
My cousin Clare
One of my first memories of Clare is that he was that one of the "hunks" who were
my teenaged boy cousins.....much older than I
As my brother Cameron said he seemed to be around our home from time to time all
our lives and we enjoyed him {quiet though !!!}
He stayed at least one summer and never really seemed to get used to the boisterous
mealtime of the 6 or more at the Rididale table
The first time he sat and watched and almost missed having lunch!!!
He shared his mom's love of antiques and would often bring her to Galt to visit
mom[aunt Lenore ]and dad [uncle Oliver].
Over and over he expressed how grateful he was for their help and support in his life.
We kept in touch through the years and the moves my family made and really
reconnected online a number of years ago.
he loved to reminisce and tell me about his good times past like going to Woverton
to stay and fish in the summer with Grandpa & Grandma Chesney
His great love for Cecelia was always evident as was his delight to be a part of her
children's lives..............he was certainly a proud Grandpa and shared many
stories about them too.
He seemed to find peace and enjoyment in his involvement in the church with Cecelia.
He has called my mom or visited regularly since dad's passing.
He was a kind and gentle person and I will miss him
